The Course shall be called Master of Technology Course, abbreviated as M.Tech. (Subject of Specialization).The course shall extend over a period of four semesters of total duration of 24 months.
Each semester shall have the following schedule:
First Semester: 23 weeks duration• 16 weeks course work +7 weeks of (Preparation +Examination+ Vacation)
Second Semester: 21 weeks duration • 16 weeks course work +5 weeks of (Preparation +Examination+ Vacation) • Project work (Phase-I)-6 weeks
Third Semester: 21 weeks duration • 16 weeks of course work +5 weeks [project work(Phase-II)+ Examination +Vacation]
Fourth Semester: 26 weeks duration- Project work (Phase-III)
The calendar of events in respect of the course shall be fixed by the University from time to time.
The examination in all the subjects shall be conducted at the end of each semester for all the four semesters.

Eligibility for Admission | |
Admission to the Master of Technology Course shall be open to all the candidates who have passed B.E. / B.Tech. Examinations (in relevant field) of VTU or any other University / Institution or equivalent examination recognized by the University. Admission to M.Tech. Course shall be open to the candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations. In the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Group I, the aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations shall not be less than 45%. The course shall be called the degree course in Bachelor of Engineering /Technology Course, abbreviated as B.E. / B.Tech. The course shall be of four academic years duration divided into eight semesters, each semester having duration of 16 weeks. For evening courses the contact hours are to be satisfied by working extra on afternoons of Saturdays and Sundays. The calendar of events in respect of the course shall be fixed by the University from time to time. The examination in all the subjects shall be conducted at the end of each semester for all the eight semesters.
